Review: Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

Hello! Is has been some time hasn't it. Was very busy with school and all. Forgot about this space. But have a sudden urge to review/blog about my products now that my exams are over. And OMG my last post was in January 2013 and now it is almost the end of the year T.T. Is there even anyone reading this space...haha

Today I'm gonna review on Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I'm not sure if I've mentioned before that my lips gets dry and chapped very very easily. I will even get cold sore or should I say tearing at the end of my mouth. It hurts really badly and take weeks to recover. I've tried a few lip balm to improve the condition of my lips. I must say Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm is the best for me.

For those who have never heard of the brand Burt's Bees is a company that makes it cosmetic products using natural ingredients. Beeswax is the main ingredient in their products. Same goes for this lip balm, it is '100% Natural'. What I like best about this lip balm is that is doesn't require me to apply multiple times a day. I usually uses it before I got out, and it can last me through the day. It soften my lips instantly. I also like that it contains Vitamin E and peppermint. I can feel the mint-ness (spicy-ness) on my lips after I apply it. I can remember how it cost though. I bought it from sephora. It is one of the items in the this christmas gift pack. Maybe you could check if these gift packs are available in your nearby sephora store since christmas is coming.

I'll give 5/5 for this product. Do look out for this space because I'm gonna review about more things in this week.

Review: Garnier Pure Active Blackhead Clearing Scrub and Song recommendation

There definitely days where you are more self-cautious about your skin than usual. Yes I had one of those days and keep scrutinizing my skin. And I realized that my black heads was more obvious than i thought. So I complained to my friend and friend recommended me this. About S$14, available at Watsons. I don't really like using blackhead strips, hate the sting. I only use it as my last resort. Garnier Pure Active Blackhead Clearing Scrub is suitable for everyday use and it is multiple purpose too. Hooray for a lazy person like me. Ever since I've used this I rarely used those black head strips. Coincidentally, it also helps to fade spot marks. This is really useful since my face is really prone to acne marks. The scrub contains blue and white bits to help in the exfoliating. I like the fresh minty finish after I use it. It is usually not dry on the skin. On some days it is, I compliment is with Nature Republic Blemish Lab Moisturizer. I reviewed it in my previous post! Do check it out (: I'll rate is 5/5.

I can't believed how squeezed the tube is....it just goes to show I keep using it. I love it.

Review: Nature Republic Blemish Lab AC Moisturizer

Hey all! Sorry for the lack of updates. Honestly, I have lots of products to update but I just could not find the time to do. Today's review would be one Nature Republic Blemish Lab AC Moisturizer. I've used this for 8 months. This products line is actually the one that rescued my skin when I was super stressed last year.

Do you know that a breakout on your skin could be lack of moisture? Moisturizer can also prevent wrinkles. Yes that how important moisturizers are! In fact it is a must in your skin regime. So how to check if your skin has enough moisture? Slightly press on your skin (with clean hands of course), if there is slight bounce to your skin, your skin probably has enough moisture.

Back to the product I'm am about to review. What I like about this moisturizer, is that it is not oily at all. It is also light and smooth when apply on the skin. As you can see, the color is more translucent than those opaque white moisturizer thus does leave and residue on your face. The effect is quite immediate too. For those who are concerned about fragrance, yes it is fragrance free.

I'll rate is 5/5!

Review: Forever Aloe Lips With Jojoba

This is going to be a very short review of a lip gloss that I would like to recommend to all of you. I got this from my mother and I don't where you can get this in Singapore because apparently my mom got this gift from her friend and she gave it to me. What I really like this lip gloss is that it very moisturizing and not oily. It absorb very quickly into my lips. What I always do is that, I apply it when I am about to sleep. So, basically the next day my lips will be very moist and smooth for the next day (yes the whole day!!).

The main two ingredient of this lip gloss are Aloe Barbadensis Extract (Okay I am sure many of you must be thinking ... What da hell is that? lol) and jojoba seed oil.

Here is my research about these two. Aloe Bardadensis is actually just a type of Aloe and Aloe Barbadensis Extract is the juice you get from the plant. So, apparently, I found out that Aloe Barbadensis was largely used by Eqyption to beautify themselves O.O. As for jojoba seed oil it is known for its effectiveness of treating dry stop so this explain why the lips stick/ lip gloss is so moisturizing. Lastly, the product is not scent but you actually can smell something sweet from it mostly probably due to ingredient found in it.

My rate for this product is 5/5.

For those muslim who are worried about whether you can use this product, I actually found out that it has Islamic Seal of Approval. For animal lover who are against animal abuse, this product does not involve animal testing :)
