Review: NuTeen Sleeping Mask

NuTeen Tub

I'm on the roll today haha! Going to write a review on NuTeen Acne & Pimples Away Sleeping Mask. Bought this at Watsons after the salesperson introduced it to me. I was actually looking for NuTeen pimple cream, but it was currently out of stock during that time. Have been using it for months. So, I decided to post a review about it. As you can see from the picture above, the sleeping mask comes in a tub form and the back of the tub is direction on how to use it.

Description at the back.

The sleeping mask is in cream form. So, basically you have to use a stick or your finger to take some of the substance and apply it onto your face evenly before going to sleep. The cream is slightly translucent and greenish white. It has a distinctive smell that most NuTeen skin products have (you will recognize the smell if you have used NuTeen products before). I don't have much opinion about the smell. I neither like it nor dislike it.

Consistency of the cream

As you can see, there not much cream left inside the tub because I have been using it for a few months.

What I like about this product is that it gives a very cooling sensation on skin after applying it onto my face. It does not require you to keep it in refrigerator to provide you with the cooling effect. It kind of relaxes you skin. After using it several times, I can actually see redness of my acne reduced and it dry up some of my small pimples. According to the salesperson, the sleeping mask can actually treat your acne or pimple. However, I sincerely feel that the sleeping mask is only effective on small acne/pimple.
If you're looking for sleeping mask that relaxes and cool down you skin, I would recommend you this sleeping mask. But, it may not be a good product for those looking for treatment for you acne prone skin. I will rate this product 3.5/5.

Review: MJCARE Mung-Bean Essence Mask

I've always like to put on facial mask. Its relaxing and does help in improving my complexion. I have to do it more frequently nowadays since stress from university has taken a toll on my skin. I would need to spend lots of money if I were to use brand-name facial mask too often. So I've decided to try on MJCARE Mung-Bean Essence Mask which only cost me S$0.49. Super Cheap!

MJCARE Mung-Bean Essence Mask
Thick essence

Instructions at the back

For those who live in tropical region remember to put it in the fridge before use for an extra refreshing effect!
As shown the essence is thick, so your face will feel a little sticky after use. For those who doesn't like that I advice you to avoid using it. My face also feels a little uncomfortable and itches a little. Maybe because of the material of the mask. According to the packanging, the mask it supposed to purify, moisturize and brighten your skin. After trying on the mask, I realize it also helps in drying pimples/acne.

Overall I will rate it 3.5 out of 5. I'll say the mask is alright for the price. I'm okay with the stickyness. However, I do not like how my skin feels uneasy while having it on.

I will post more reviews on MJCARE facial mask soon. Do leave comments if you have any questions.

And I know I'm a day late but HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR PEOPLE!!

Review: Za True White Day Protector

Firstly, I really like Za products as it seems to fit my skin type. I've been using Za face wash for years and I really like it. I was actually looking for a sunscreen to protect my skin from sun. Sunscreen is definitely important especially for those living in tropical weather like Singapore. As such, I decided to tryout Za True White Day Protector with SPF 26.

It comes in a cute white tube with pink words imprint on it. As you can see this line comes with Vitamin C and E. Vitamin E is known for its good properties that blocks skin from redness caused by the sun plus it is a good source of anti-oxidant. As for Vitamin C, it gives whitening effect on the skin.

Pros:
What I like about this product is that the cream is light and have great consistency. I don't need need a huge amount of it to cover up my face. I only need a few dots.
It also gives a white matte effect on my skin. It makes my skin looks whiter and smooth.

Cons:
It feels nice on the skin right after I applied it on my face. However, since i have a combination skin type, the sunscreen can be quite drying for certain parts of my face (esp. around my mouth and eye brows) depending on the weather. Whereas, during humid weather condition, it can be really oily and I can feel like something is covering my face (esp. around the T-zone area). It was really uncomfortable.

If you have combination skin like mine, I would not recommend to use this products. However, you can still purchase this product and directly try it out since skin care products react differently to different skin conditions. :) You can leave comments, if you have any questions to ask me!
